Dr. Homa is a technology and education expert with over 30 years of experience bridging people, technology, and organizations. As a scholar-practitioner, his work and research centers on digital technology literacy, informed by deep investigations into applied science education and higher education institutional dynamics.
Currently serving as Head of Institute Administration and Research Services at the Digital Data and Design Institute at Harvard, he leads the strategic efforts to define innovative operational and research service models for one of Harvard’s newest interdisciplinary institutes. Previously, as Director of the Digital Initiative at Harvard Business School he transformed a small community into a global platform, engaging over fifty thousand practitioners and generating content that reached millions of learners worldwide. He consistently led high-impact events exploring critical technological themes including AI ethics, cybersecurity, and misinformation.
As an international thought leader he co-founded the Project for a Just Digital Future, an interdisciplinary program dedicated to addressing technological discrimination and harmful digital innovation. His global expertise spans project work across more than a dozen countries, including the United States, Canada, European nations, and in key Asian markets. As a Berkman Klein Center Affiliate and UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab expert, he has contributed to efforts that define technological standards and has served on K-12 school district advisory councils to define technology education in schools and educational policies.
